Take a resume or a business card and start a conversation!  The Job and Resume Board will be placed next to the Poster Session Boards in the exhibit hall.  Exhibitors, sponsors and principal investigators who are hiring are encouraged to bring business cards and pin them to the board.

STUDENT CONFERENCE ORIENTATION

This conference session is open to students and other first-time professional conference attendees.  The goal of the session is to teach students how to “design” their own conference experience and learn proper networking techniques that will offer the opportunity to experience all that the AWRA National Conference has to offer.  Additionally, each session attendee will be asked to spend a moment or two and describe what expectations each has from the conference and the moderators will assist in realizing these expectations.

Come to a panel discussion on career paths in academia, private sector and government agencies.  Panelists will talk about their own career paths, their “typical” work day in the office or in the field.  They will offer tips on how to stand out in a work environment.  Students as well as those just starting out in their careers will find this a helpful and informative experience.  A light lunch will be provided.

STUDENT SOCIAL
Tuesday, April 24, 7:00 PM

The Student Social is an informal opportunity for students to get together for a night of food and fun.  Please gather in the hotel lobby at 7:00 PM.  A list of local restaurants will be provided at the AWRA registration desk to help you decide on a destination for the evening.  Transportation is on your own.
